Audit Cultures: A critical look at 'evidence-based practice' in psychotherapy and beyond
Saturday 16 September 2006
10.00 am - 5.00 pm

(Venue: Tavistock Clinic, (Fifth Floor), 120 Belsize Lane, London NW3)

Cultures of audit and assessment have become an established part of many areas of professional life. Increasingly they are being brought to bear in the world of psychotherapy and counselling with more and more regulation and standardisation and demands for 'evidence-based practice'.

This conference, open to all interested people, aims to take a critical look at these audit cultures. It will address such questions as: What ideas
underpin demands for audit? Whose interests do they serve? Can therapy be assessed in these ways? What impact will audit cultures have on the
practice of psychotherapy, both in the private and public spheres?

(Fees: £60 Concessions £30)
